Click here for software design FAQ

Q.Do I need special software to watch my cameras over the internet? A. Not necessarily. Some of the systems we provide simply require an internet browser such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. Other equipment needs special secure software for viewing purposes.

Q.How do I set a budget for my surveillance system? A. For retail applications, we suggest that you establish a budget of 60% of your yearly losses due to theft.

Q.I want to put a camera where it's hard to put wires in, can I do this? A. Yes. Webwyz Systems provides a selection of wireless video transmitters and receivers. Ranges vary from 300 feet to 12 kilometers.

Q.Will I have troubles with my union if I install a camera system in the plant? A. Depends upon particular situation. If you have a track record of losses due to employee theft and/or negligence, you can successfully argue that future raises depend on reducing costs.

Q.I have some older cameras already in place, can they be included in the new system? A. Depends upon how old. Most cameras can be incorporated into a surveillance system upgrade. Some specialized units cannot. Phone us to inquire.

Q.I have an old time lapse VCR, can it be upgraded? A. A VCR can be very valuable for archival purposes. When installing a digital video recorder, we often connect the VCR to it. This way you can make tapes for the police to take away for evidence.

Q.Are surveillance systems expensive? A. There is a wide variety of equipment available. It all depends upon the job you want it to do.
